Chambre d'Hôtes Le Cray in 71800 Vareilles

Each season more guests discover the beautiful location of our Chambre d'Hôtes in 71800 Vareilles in the South of Burgundy.

Chambre d'Hôtes Le Cray is a lovely place to spend one or more days and explore the surrounding area.

After staying one night with us, many guests stood in the morning, at their car in the morning with a sense of, 'this is so peaceful, we don't want to leave here yet'.

Some of them came back for 2 or 3 nights.

Vareilles is a great location for nature lovers, and experienced cyclists.

Before our first guests arrive in May we have been busy for several weeks preparing the house, garden and orchard for the new season.

Through Google Street view you can now create a 'walk' on the road to Le Cray.

Right behind the car park you will see our House.

Find out what our guests have written of their experiences at Le Cray in our Guest book.

Who knows! Maybe you also enjoy tis next season during a visit to the Burgundy region.

Chambre d'Hôtes Le Cray is a perfect stopover to take a few days to relax on the way to the South (or back to the North). Leave the motorway, the Route du Soleil (A6), at Beaune (Junction 24.1) or Chalon-sur-Saône (exit 26) and drive through the beautiful countryside towards Vareilles in about an hour and a half.

After one or two days in Vareilles drive through the wine region towards Lyon and back on the Auto route du Soleil to continue your vacation trip to South.

Total drive is only 75 km more. (See our Pdf Roadmap to Le Cray), but in addition to a wonderful  stay with us in Vareilles, you will get a beautiful detour through the Burgundy and Beaujolais vineyards in return!

Whichever route you take, you will be always welcome again in Chambre d'Hôtes Le Cray

Chambre d'Hôtes Le Cray in 71800 Vareilles

In the South of Burgundy in the Saône-et-Loire is the tranquil village of Vareilles, awarded with a beautiful Romanesque church from the 12th century. On the edge of this village is our romantic House with the associated Chambre d'Hôtes Le Cray.

The area around us, the Brionnais, is a gently sloping landscape with forests and meadows in which at the renowned Charolais cows graze. The area radiates tranquility, beauty and simplicity. If you takeone of the many walking routes you will be pleasantly surprised by the panoramic views and especially the serene silence that prevails in this area.

Our House dates from about 1835 and was originally built as a farmhouse.

The Chambre d'Hôtes is the former home of the servant and his house was part of the farm.

In September 2014 the Texel Gazette (Texelse Courant) published an article about Chambre d'Hôtes Le Cray
